A dedicated bottle warmer’s real value is consistency and speed at 3am: no measuring water temperature by feel, no waiting for a kettle, no risk of overheating milk in a microwave (which is not recommended, since it heats unevenly and can create hot spots).
If most feeds happen at home and you’re not in a rush, a jug of hot water and a few minutes does the same job for free. The warmer earns its price mainly through speed and convenience during night feeds, and for parents managing multiple bottles a day.
Look at cycle time and whether it handles both bottles and food pouches if you’ll need both — some multi-function warmers do both jobs well, others are noticeably better at one than the other.
